Prepared Childbirth Class- 6 week program that helps parents-to-be prepare for the birth of their baby, both physically and emotionally. Discussions in pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum, initial newborn care, and breastfeeding. Registration for this class should take place during the 6th month of pregnancy. Cloth Diapering 101 – discuss all types of cloth diapers (pros/cons) and learn how to us the diapers and proper diaper care.
Babywearing Demonstration – learn about and use several types of baby wraps, slings and baby carriers.
Introduction to Breastfeeding- class covers benefits of breastfeeding, latching positions, how often to feed baby, signs baby is getting enough food, introducing the bottle, & getting dad involved.
Breastfeeding Support Group/Nursing Café- weekly support group; topics include latching techniques, milk storage, night feedings, weaning, pumping, difficulties and successes. The Nursing Café meets Tuesdays from 1:00-2:00pm free of charge.
