Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Arts- Saturday Art Club is an event for kindergarten through high school students. July 24 - Musical Instruments: Working with found objects, students will explore the creation of sounds by making their own instrument.
July 31 - Old Master Drawing Techniques: Based on the exhibition of Old Master Drawings from the Ringling Museum of Art, students will investigate the use of pen and ink, conte crayon, silverpoint, chalk and fine papers.
August 7 - Glass Bead Making and Stringing: Students will have the chance to make their own wearable artwork with necklace making, and practice at forming glass beads at a torch. Pint Size Picassos- Allowing children creative freedom to explore the world around them through drawing, painting, and texture allows them to grow as individuals. The fall soccer league is for all children who want to participate in a team sport in an organized and fun environment. Age: 6months- 3 years; Fee: $45. Designed for parents interested in acquainting their children to the water in a fun and safe environment. Teaches infants and toddlers water adjustment, blowing bubbles, and under water exploration.
Opelika SeaDawgs Swim Team Fall Swim Team- Monday, Tuesday & Thursday beginning September 13; 6:00-7:00pm; Ages 6-18 years. Fee: $30 ( $10 discount per sibling). Swim practice for the serious swimmer who wants to stay in shape.

Fall Instructional League- August 23 - September 16 (baseball) & September 20 - Thursday, October 14 (softball). Boys, ages 7-12 years old- Machine and Kid Pitch. Girls, ages 8-12 years old
Baseball: $150 – includes 4 weeks of instruction and controlled games. Softball: $75 - includes 4 weeks of instruction and controlled games. Practices approximately 2 hours long. Coaches are encouraged to attend practices with their teams. Scrimmages and “live defense” will be included in these practices. Games and practices will be held at Duck Samford Park fields. 6th Annual Fall Instructional Wood Bat Baseball League- September 27 - October 25; Mondays 5:30-7:30pm. Any area high school baseball player who is currently in 9th-12thgrade will make up 7 Teams – 10 total players per team – 5 pitchers per team.
*Infielders-Outfielders - 5 training sessions; Mondays, 5:30-7:30 pm, September 27 - October 25
*Pitchers-Catchers - 5 training sessions; Tuesdays or Wednesdays, 5:30-7:30, September 28 – October 27

Cost - $325 per player, includes Sports Academy game jersey, 5 training sessions, 1 long toss session (pitchers) and 8 games. Wood bats also included. Registration-League fills up quickly!
